This is the case of the ink drawing, where the brushstrokes can be a silent grey whisper or a loud cry of black on the white paper.
This duel between paper and brush is an all or nothing fight, because a spontaneous work doesn’t allow turning back.
In this region creation doesn’t leave room for intellectual speculations, the work might loose its direct quality and its freshness derived from the subconscious.
In this process, where expression and meaning are torn from the inert white surface of the paper, the characteristics of the medium ink force an honest and unpretentious acceptance of what lies beneath consciousness.”
