The first 10 copies of this book contain original acryl drawings and watercolours made by Julio Silva.  These drawings were made as an accompaniment to the poems written by Ruben Herrera. The book was translated from Spanish to Dutch by Harriët Peteri and the graphic design by Carla Herrera. The linen box was fabricated especially for this edition by F.J. Schwendemann, Amsterdam. This edition of 30 copies has been printed on Arches paper of 200 grams. The first 10 copies numbered I to X contain an acryl or watercolour on paper glued on a wooden underlayer.
The next 10 copies contain an acryl or watercolour on paper and are numbered 11 to 20.
The last 10 copies do not contain original drawings and are numbered 21 to 30.
This book was edited and published by Kuntur Gallery in Amsterdam in 2006.


Authors

Julio Silva (Argentina, 1930) is a painter living and working in Paris and Torano. Silva has been working in Paris since the fifties and has been celebrated for his collaboration with the writer Julio Cortázar. The result of these collaborations were a series of books, Les discours du Pince-Gueule (1966), La vuelta al día en ochenta mundos (1967), Ultimo round (1969) en Silvalandia(1975).
Silvalandia was inspired by the world that Silva creates in his paintings. The book was illustrated by Silva and published in Spanish and translated into French and German. In 1995 Silva was in charge of the graphic design of a series of books 'Biblioteca Julio Cortázar' for the publisher Alfaguara.
Since 1970 Silva has been active as a sculptor. His work forms part of private and public collections. Some of his work is part of public space, Pyegemalion, Forum Les Halles and  Dame LuneLa Défense in Paris. In 2001 the fountain Panta Rhei was revealed  Massa (Toscane). Silva has had solo exhibitions Sainte-Croix in Poitiers, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and several European, Latin- and North American galleries.

Ruben Herrera (Argentina, 1943) has won awards at the Salon Grafique in Marseille and the Salon Michel de Ghelderode in Brussel. His work has been exhibited in many European and Latin-American countries, Canada and China. It forms part of public and private collections in The Netherlands. His work was used as cover design for books by Julio Cortázar, Ernesto Sábato, Mario Benedetti, Gabriel García Márquez, Vargas Llosa and Saúl Yurkievich. These books were published by the dutch publisher Meulenhoff and the Spanish publisher Plaza y Janés. This is his first book of poetry.
